Kansas Senate Unanimously Approves Foreign Funding Ban, Heads to Governor

Today, the Kansas Senate unanimously approved House Bill 2106, legislation to ban foreign nationals from supporting or opposing proposed amendments to the Kansas Constitution.

Today, the Kansas Senate unanimously approved House Bill 2106, legislation to ban foreign nationals from supporting or opposing proposed amendments to the Kansas Constitution. HB 2106 now heads to Governor Kelly for her consideration.

HB 2106, introduced by state Representative Proctor, previously passed the state House on February 14, 2025 by a vote of 95-25.

Americans for Public Trust Executive Director Caitlin Sutherland testified in favor of HB 2106 before the House Committee on Elections and the Senate  Committee on Federal and State Affairs.
