These emails show the AFT lobbying the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and even suggesting language for, the agency’s school reopening guidance.
The suggested language made by AFT, which was adopted verbatim by the supposedly science-based agency, put the breaks on a full reopening of in-person classrooms.
The 400 pages of emails show the CDC, White House, and teachers unions emailing back and forth about long awaited forthcoming guidance on schools.
