Today, the Arkansas Senate unanimously voted to advance House Bill 1837, a measure banning foreign funding of state ballot issue campaigns. HB 1837 now heads back to the State House, and then it will be off to Governor Sanders for her expected signature.

HB 1837, sponsored by Representative Mindy McAlindon and Senator Kim Hammer, is a straightforward measure that bans foreign nationals and foreign governments from funding state ballot measure campaigns.
