APT Launches Ad Campaign Targeting Biden’s Ties to Dark Money

Today, APT launches its first ad campaign highlighting the dark money influence in the Biden administration.

Today, Americans for Public Trust launched its first television ad campaign highlighting the dark money influence on the Biden Administration. Liberal dark money groups, many backed by the Arabella Advisors network, spent a record-breaking $145 million to help elect Joe Biden. And now, they’re cashing in.

The Biden administration has been quick to repay these dark money groups through powerful appointments, such as Ron Klain to chief of staff, who was a key board member at the Center for America Progress Action Fund. Gina McCarthy of the Natural Resources Defense Council Action Fund, was appointed to serve as climate advisor. In addition to these appointments, the Biden administration’s executive actions, such as canceling the Keystone pipeline and failing to reopen schools, are repayment to these same dark money groups.

“Mr. Biden promised unity, but his nominees to high positions and his policy prescriptions reveal an extreme liberal agenda, on which these dark money groups are trying to cash in,” said Caitlin Sutherland, executive director of Americans for Public Trust.
