APT Files Ethics Complaint Against Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ)

Today, Americans for Public Trust has filed an ethics complaint against Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ).

On April 16, 2023, Rep. Gosar “linked to an article with a headline referencing ‘Jewish warmongers’ from a website with a history of antisemitic content in his House newsletter.” This same outlet pushed out by Representative Gosar “provides a platform for Holocaust denial and antisemitic content.” Additionally, the website has been described as a “Russian proxy site.”

House Rule 23 holds that a Member shall behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House, and Members are expected to adhere to the spirit and the letter of the Rules of the House. However, when Rep. Gosar used official House resources, and his platform as a United States Congressman to reverberate the hateful musings of a despicable website.

Therefore, we respectfully request that the Office of Congressional Ethics investigate the extent that Rep. Gosar engaged in conduct that violates the standards and the Rules of the House. Click here to read the complaint.
