APT Applauds Indiana Banning Foreign Funding

Today, Governor Mike Braun signed House Bill 1467 into law, legislation banning the foreign funding of public questions.

Caitlin Sutherland, Executive Director of Americans for Public Trust, released the following statement:

“We applaud Governor Braun for signing this crucial bill to ensure foreign money does not influence Indiana politics. Closing the loophole that allows ballot initiatives to be funded by foreign billionaires and hostile powers is a big win for the people of Indiana. This ban makes it clear that foreign influence will not be tolerated in the Hoosier State.”
